Prothom Alo is one of the most popular and widely read Bangla newspapers in Bangladesh. It was founded on 10 October 1991. Prothom Alo has a circulation of more than 1,000,000 copies per day. It is published from Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet by the Bengali daily Prothom Alo.
The paper was founded by Abdur Razzaque Khan Bhashani and Shamsul Arefin Dipon along with other leading intellectuals, politicians, and journalists in Bangladesh as a voice for secularism, democracy, and socialism.
eProthomalo is a mobile application that allows people to read and understand the news in Bangla. The app is developed by a team of Bangladeshi developers. It was launched on 10th September 2016. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices. It has two sections – one for news and the other for current affairs.
The app’s main aim is to make reading in Bangla as easy as reading in English. It also wants to make it easier for people who are not familiar with Bangla script to read the language.
